13 squares!

Hoi! Mooi hé? 14 vierkantjes? Het begint echt al ergens op te lijken als je ze naast elkaar legt!

Hi! Nice, isn't it, 14 squares? When you put them next to each other you really get an idea how the blanket will look!

De afgelopen dagen heb ik tussen de bedrijven door gehaakt. Zo trots op mezelf dat ik ze toch allemaal af heb gekregen! Twee weken geleden stootte ik mijn pink aan mijn rechterhand en hoewel ik dacht dat het wel meeviel bleek het een complexe breuk te zijn, afgelopen week toch maar mee naar de huisarts gegaan. Die stuurde me door en komende dinsdag word ik geopereerd. Vandaar dat ik wat minder heb geblogd en de komende week zal het nog wel even wat stiller zijnvan mijn kant. Maar we haken gewoon door! (wat wel luktals ik wat vaker rust)

Between all kinds of busy responsibilities I have been able to finish all the squares and I'm still on schedule! So proud of myself! Two weeks ago I broke the pinkyfinger of my right hand. I thought it was just sprained but it turned out to be a complex fracture. I went to the GP's office on tuesday and he sent me to the hospital. Next tuesday they will try to fix my finger with surgery. That's the reason I haven't been writing here and the next week I won't have much time either. But I'll keep crocheting (which is possible, but I need t stop and rest my hand more than usual.)

Kleur je wereld! ** Colour your world!

Gisteren was het nogal druilerig weer. grijs en grauw... blegh! Dus dacht ik! Weetje: ik pak er gewoon eens wat kleur bij! Dus heb ik mijn Ripple voortgang maar weer eens gefotografeerd en toen kon ik me niet bedringen..
Ik heb de laatste rij om de Herfstblaadjes deken gehaakt en de draadjes ingestopt,hij ligt nu lekker op mn mooie stoeltje!

The weather was grey and depressing yesterday.. yuk! So I thought....You know: I'll just grab some colour! So I took my Ripple blanket and started photographing the progress, and then I started to get carried away....
I finally finished the last row of my Autumnleaves blanketand weaved in the ends. It took it's place on my cute chair!

Kalmte** Serenity & Square #5

Square #5

Rust en kalmte, steeds meer en meer leer ik dat ik dat echt nodig heb. Een moment voor mezelf, gewoon even voorlezen aan de kinderen, een boswandeling maken..heerlijk. Die momenten koester ik. Vandaag had ik dat ook even nodig. Dus koos ik vandaag voor rustgevende kleuren..

Serenity and relaxation, the last year I have been realizing more and more that this is essential for me.. A moment just for me, reading a bedtime story to the children, go out for a walk in the forest...wonderful! I cherish those moments. I needed this today, so I chose soothing colours for the square.

Vanmiddag haalde ik wat heerlijke groene thee met jasmijn. Normaal vind ik dit veel te bitter maar deze van Rituals is heerlijk! En dus had ik mijn serene momentje...

This afternoon I bought some lovely green tea with jasmine. I don't particularly like green tea but this one from Rituals is not bitter at all! I'm so glad I had a moment to relax...

200 Happy Squares: Square #4

Square #4

Snoep! Daar ben ik dol op!! Maar.. na de bourgondische Kerst is het verstandig om even niet te veel te snoepen! Daarom heb ik vandaag een Happy Square in snoepkleurtjes gemaakt.

Candy! I...love...candy!! But after the holidays it's wiser to stop eating candy for a while.. ;o) That's why I made a square in candy colours today!

Na wat tellen merkte ik dat ik op driekwart van de Ripple deken ben! Yay!

I counted my rows yesterday and guess what? I only need 14 more rows! Yay!

200 Happy Squares: Square #3

Square #3

Deze kleurtjes heb ik gekozen omdat ik zin heb in de lentekleuren in de natuur. Groene blaadjes aan de bomen, roze, fuchsia en paars/blauwe bloesem aan de bomen! 

**

Today I used spring colours, the green leaves and the purple/blue, fuchsia and pink blossoms.. I can hardly wait untill spring arrives!

Vandaag ben ik weer aan het werk gegaan en in mijn pauze heb ik gekeken of het me lukte om een square in mijn pauze te haken. Gelukt! De draadjes heb ik nog even snel tussendoor weggewerkt. Fijn om te weten, zo kan ik steeds die kleine momentjes van geluk beleven, zo leuk om met de kleuren van de Stylecraft Special DK te werken! 

**

At work I tested if I could finish one square in my lunchbreak, I did! Yay! I weaved in the ends afterwards and there's was the square! Nice to know, I really enjoy those little moments of crochet happiness! I love working the happy colours of the Stylecraft Special DK yarn! 

Ik moet eerlijk zeggen dat ik zowel gisteren als vandaag de neiging had om nóg een square te haken. Het ziet er zo leuk uit! Tegen mezelf heb ik gezegd dat ik dat toch niet ga doen, eerst die grote Ripple deken maar eens afmaken!

Just like yesterday I had the urge to make another square! They look so lovely! I told myself not to though. I really need to finished that big Ripple blanket first!
