Maak ze zelf!

Zeg nou eerlijk, is het niet veel leuker om zelf een tas te maken? Oh, ik ben ZO dol op tassen! Tassen haken ligt me dan ook heel erg dus toen ik een nieuw project begon met het cotton blend garen (cotton/acryl 50%-50%) MOEST dat dan ook een tas worden!

Ik heb al een mooi stofje en een rits gekocht voor de binnenkant.

Ik ben al bezig met het patroon, een diagram heb ik al gemaakt. In mijn volgende post zal ik het patroon toevoegen!

Make your own!

Don't you agree that it is so much more fun to make a bag yourself? Oh, how much I love bags!  Ever since I crochet I make bags, so when I started a new project with the cotton blend yarn (50-50 % cotton/acrylic) I just had to make a bag!

I alreadt bought a nice piece of fabrica and a zipper. I can;t wait to finish it!

I've already made the diagram and am working on the pattern, I'll write out the pattern in my next post!

Een gehaakt Kerstfeest!/ A crochet Christmas!

Al wekenlang kijk ik vol verlangen naar alle gehaakte kerstornamenten, kerstguirlandes en andere gehaakte kerstversieringen. Zo veel inspiratie maar ik had nog zoveel projecten om af te maken! Nu kon ik er eindelijk aan beginnen. Erg leuk om te doen! En ik zou niet Saskia heten of ik probeer iets zelf te verzinnen, maar het begon allemaal met Kabeltrui, een mede-Ravelry-lid die van mijn Lunaria patroon een heel leuk kerstornament had gemaakt. Mooi hé? Toen kon ik niet meer achterblijven, dus heb ik er zelf ook een paar gemaakt van mijn Rico essentials dk cotton. //

I have been looking at all the crochet Christmasornaments , guirlandes and other Christmassy crochet projects and I had to wait before my other projects were finished before I got to the Christmassy projects!

I finally got around to it the last couple of days. I wouldn't be Saskia if I did not try to desing my own ornaments. But first I saw this lovely Lunaria star tured into a Christmasornament. Good job Kabeltrui! Nice eh? When I saw this one I just had to make some!

De tas voor onze oudste is klaar en ze vind hem super!! Een interpretatie van het Lucy Bag patroon.//

Ik heb ook nog gestoeid met het puffsteek0patroon wat ik wil maken. Lief hé, deze kleine bloempies! Gemaakt met het merino dk wol van Rico.//

December uitzinnigheid// December frenzy

November en december zijn vreselijk drukke maanden bij ons, jullie hebben de verjaardagstaarten al voorbij zien komen de afgelopen weken. Gisteren hebben we Sinterklaas gevierd en vrijdag is mijn jongste zoon jarig. Deze tijd van het jaar heb ik altijd het gevoel dat ik op een denderende trein zit die maar moet blijven rijden! Maar, ook heel veel speciale en mooie momenten, en die koester ik natuurlijk.

Deze bloemetjes zijn voor Michaja, ze maakt er zulke leuke sleutelhangers van! De kleuren zijn iets feller in het echt want ze zijn gemaakt met mijn mobiele telefoon maar ik vond leuk om jullie even wat kleur te laten 

zien!

November and december are crazy busy at the valley! You have seen the birthdaycakes fly by! Yesterday we celebrated the Saint Nicholas celebration, which is very similar to Christmas for children. It was a lot of fun and our kids are spoiled rotten! :)

In this time of year I get the feeling that I am on a train that keeps on going and I have to do anything to keep it moving forwards, very hectic and stressful indeed. But full of lovely moments to cherish so I try and see all the nice moments.

These flowers are for Michaja,  she makes nice keychains out of them. The colours are not so bright as they are IRL but that it because I photographed them with my mobile phone. I hope you enjoy the colours and happiness of the flowers too!

Op verzoek van de Sint heb ik ook nog een tas gehaakt voor onze oudste meid. Ze vond hem prachtig en zei dat het haar favoriete cadeau is! Ik ben er blij mee want ze heeft op dit moment veel puber-driftaanvallen en dit was even een mooi moment in haar humeurigheid. Op de foto is hij nog niet helemaal af, ik laat jullie deze week de tas wel zien nu hij af is, misschien wil ze hem wel voor me showen! :)//

Saint Nicholas asked me to make a crocheted bag for our eldest girl, and I made one ofcourse! She loves it and said it was her favorite gift, which I am happy with because she is having loads of teenage tantrums these days, so her approval does mean a lot to me, a bit of brightness in her moodyness. In the picture it is not quite finished yet, maybe she'll want to be my bag-model this time! :)

Komende week meer over de puff-steek en de sjaal die ik ervoor maak. Tot dan! Vergeet niet, bij 300 volgers komt er weer een Give-away!

Alles over breien en haken //(All you need to know about knitting and crocheting

 Dit boek vond ik vandaag in een antiquariaat, is het niet geweldig?? Alleen de buitenkant al. Het boek heeft bijna 300 pagina's en gaat alleen maar over breien en haken. Helaas staat er geen jaartal in maar ik denk dat het is geschreven in de jaren '70.//

I found this book in a second-hand bookshop today, I am really happy with it! The book has almost 300 pages and all the pages are filled with pictures and elaborate descriptions. It does not have a printing date but I believe it is written in the 70's.

 

Een aantal dingen in het boek zijn erg mooi en andere zijn....curieus...//Some of the things in the book are wonderfull! But others are quite curious...

De omschrijving hierbij zegt; blauw, een kleur die gedragen kan worden door jong en oud.. :) // The description in the book says; bleu can be worn by younger and older people...:)

Conclusie; het haak- en brei-werk in dit boek heeft wel echt andere kleuren nodig! Maar het is heel bruikbaar als inspiratie.//

Conclusion; the crochet and knitting in this book needs other colours! But the book is quite useful to give me inspiration!

Ik was bezig met een leuk en bijzonder idee, waarvan ik dacht dat het net zo goed zou uitpakken als mijn Kaleidoscoop tas, maar dat viel vies tegen... Het is niet geworden zoals ik wil, dus, nu verder met iets anders wat ik in mijn hoofd had, dit gaat zeker lukken!//

I was working on a new and special project, I thought this would work out just as great as my Kaleidoscope bag but it turned out to be a failure, it does not look the way I want it to.. mayeb I'll give it a try some other time. For now I started something else, this will work out for sure!

 Nee, dit is niet wat ik bedoelde....// No this did not turn out the way I wanted to!

Nu we het toch over de Kaleidoscoop tas hebben, ik was erg verrast door al jullie lieve reacties, ook op Ravelry kreeg ik enorm veel reacties. Zo lief! //

Speaking of the Kaleidoscope bag, thank you for all your lovely messages! I was so surprised to get so many comments here and on ravelry! I was really overwhelmed!
